EOTC Week

 Hey everyone. This year we had 5 days to do fun things that are not in the class room. 

The first place we went to was Orana Park. We feed the giraffes in the afternoon. 

The next day was Quail Island, my mum did parent help there. There was a lot of muddy hills there. 

We went to Clip n Climb and learnt all  about climbing. 

We went to New Brighton pools it was very, very fancy. 

Last but not lest we went to a surf school.  They showed us how to surf.  Then we went surfing.

Isaac Theatre Royal ballet

 Today we are going the Isaac Theatre Royal to watch a ballet routine called Sleeping Beauty. We are going on a bus to the Theatre. 

The information about the ballet says:

"The Sleeping Beauty is the quintessential classical ballet. The grandest of fairy tales, luxuriating in Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous orchestral score, it spills over with fairies, woodland sprites, handsome princes and, at its heart, an enchanting princess."

Buddy Class

Hello people. Today we did buddy class. Our whole class went to room 3,4. My buddy is 6 years old. We played with Lego and Connect 4. We all walked  back to the class room and had our morning tea. Here is a picture of me and my buddy playing Connect 4.

Description Week 1 Kushla Spinks

 

This  week we have been doing Description writing. We had to describe this describe picture. It's not much. Here is my writing.

Laughter echoes coming from the volleyball court as I walk past. Seagulls howl at the top of their lungs. Waves curl onto the soft sand. Dogs bark at the water with excitement. Dads’ scream “ I caught a fish hey boy can you pass me the bucket of fish,” with no please.

As I walk along the glistening beach the sand burns my feet. The sunblock cools my skin from the sizzling hot sun.

 Kia ora everyone. Today we watch kiwikidsnews. We have be wach kiwikidsnews for a long time my teacher miss scott stared comment and asked if we could get a shout out. After a long time of commenting they give us a shout. Here is a photo if you don't want to watch the whole video.

Pacifica performance

 In assembly the Pacifica group did a performance in front of the hole school. I had one coconut because we were missing some. before did the dance we had to take of are shoes. T

In task master today we had a piece of paper and we had to rip it up into a object. My group did a love heart because that was easy to rip up. we got 3rd place.

My new lamb

Aloha everyone that's reading this. on saturday I got a lamb his name Conny. he is four weeks old and gets feed 2 times a day.

Playground

Last term we designed a senior playground for the year 4, 5 and 6. This term a man from Playco had a look at our designs.  When we designed it we researched options, surveyed what people wanted, made a plan, made a model and videoed our playground.

In reading we had to make a poster about a wild animal. My wild animal that I wanted to do was Koala. Here is my poster

Matariki stars

This term we are leaning about the Matariki stars. we all made stars. And put it on a beautiful piece of paper. I also made a story. Here is my star. And my story

These few weeks we have been working on Matariki stars. Because it was the 13 of July. Matariki is a time Learn or do some weaving and learn about the natural world. You can make kites or fly kites. The seven sisters arrived in midwinter.

The class sat on the mat the teacher put on a video to give us some facts about matariki the teacher gave out white paper. Everyone got a piece of paper to use.

 We had to draw a star on the paper but the teacher drew most of them. Most of the stars had 5 points.  The stars had to have white and black patterns also known as zentangle.

After we drew the patterns we used dye to make a background for our stars.  The colours  we used were Brown,Yellow, Green,and red. When it dried I cut out the star and glued it onto the beautiful piece of paper with a glue stick.

how to be a good or get along with your family

In reading we have be learning about how to be a good friend and how to get along with your family members. We each made a slide about the topic. Here is the slide I made.

Aloha people that are reading this. Today my Class did a task. Are equipment that we used some news paper, sell a tape,string and scissors. The shoes were not good we had to make the shoes 12m high. because the was a aliens saucer that doped plants they will kill you. Here is a picture.

Hello readers. Today I made a wind vane to tell which way the wind is going. I used 2 lids of a ice cream container, a pin, a straw and a skewer. It didn't work when I tested it.

Buddy Class

Hey Guys and Girls. Today it was buddy class. We build some paper airplanes with straws and extra paper, tape and blue-tack. There where 4 people in my group. There was me, Lale, my friend Esha and her buddy.
