Kia ora, The last few weeks the class has been working on paper mache I wasn't here for most of it. When I came back to school I had to join a group with one person in it. I chose the Takahe. My buddy's name is Leala. She did the shaping and both of us did the sticking paper on and paint on. On Friday we showed it in assembly. Most the birds wen't finished including ours. here is a photo of our Takahe.
I am a student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. I am a Year 5 and my teacher is Miss Scott. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful in your comments.

1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Helpful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.

Well done to you and your buddy Kushla.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really like about this bird is that you perfectly matched the colouring.I love the shape and size and the way that you painted it.It looks so real.
It would be so cool if you stuck it in a paddock and watched what other Takahe would do to it.
May I ask why it doesn't have legs?.
